Memorial Day Training Schedule Update

Black Diamond Family:

In observance of Memorial Day, we will not be holding afternoon or evening classes on Monday 5/31. The noon no-gi class is still available if you would like to train.

We recently received our pre-order of rash guards and embroidered gis. If you have not received your order, please visit the school for pick-up. All remaining inventory is now for sale at our online store, which accepts cash, check, or credit card.

Please note that our school will be closed on Saturday 6/5 while our students compete at the Grappling Industries tournament here in Reno. Instructors John Villarruel, Olin Coles, and Ryan Jennerjohn will all be in attendance, coaching our team to victory. If you are interested in competing, registration is open until Tuesday, June 1st at 11:59pm.

Following the tournament, we will hold promotions on Saturday, 6/12. Children are scheduled for 8am, then adults at 9am, with open mat starting at 10am. All members, along with their friends and family, are free to attend without cost or expense. There is no belt promotion fee or seminar costs at Black Diamond BJJ.

Lastly, our Black Diamond website now features a collection of instructional BJJ videos online just for our students. The password is available to students. While these are not a substitute for drills and training, they can be very helpful for reviewing the details of a technique.

If you should have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us! – Professor Olin Coles
